BCI Welcomes Three New Voices from Maharashtra & Goa, Gujarat and Telangana

New Delhi: 27, September,2026- The Bar Council of India has welcomed Shri Ashish Deshmukh, Shri J.J. Patel and Shri Kiran Kumar G. as newly elected Members of the apex statutory body representing the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa, Bar Council of Gujarat and Bar Council of Telangana, respectively.
Their election marks their induction into the national regulatory framework governing the legal profession and legal education in India. The BCI, in its congratulatory message, highlighted their legal experience, administrative understanding and commitment to the welfare and advancement of the Bar.
The Council noted that Deshmukh, Patel and Kiran Kumar bring valuable professional and institutional experience to the national body, with their roles expected to contribute to the discharge of its statutory and regulatory responsibilities.
Their induction assumes significance in the context of the BCI’s mandate concerning professional standards, legal education, advocate welfare and the institutional development of the Bar. The newly elected members are expected to participate in furthering these objectives while strengthening coordination between the national regulatory body and the respective State Bar Councils.
