New Delhi 26, May,2026- The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) on Tuesday strongly condemned the killing of Senior Advocate Khaja Moizuddin in Hyderabad, describing the incident as planned, brutal and deeply shocking.
The association said the death of a member of the Bar is not merely a crime against an individual, but an assault on the institution of justice itself.
The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) on Tuesday strongly condemned the killing of Senior Advocate Khaja Moizuddin in Hyderabad, describing the incident as planned, brutal and deeply shocking.
The association said the death of a member of the Bar is not merely a crime against an individual, but an assault on the institution of justice itself.
In a statement issued by Honorary Secretary Pragya Baghel, the SCBA said the incident had caused grave concern across the legal fraternity and raised serious questions about the safety of advocates performing their professional duties.
The association expressed condolences to the bereaved family and urged authorities to conduct a fair, expeditious and thorough investigation to bring those responsible to justice at the earliest.
Moizuddin, who had been practising before the Telangana High Court and the City Civil Court for over three decades, died after allegedly being hit by an SUV outside his residence at Masab Tank on May 23. Reports indicate that CCTV footage captured the incident, while police continue to investigate the matter.
