City Task Force and Langer House Police Avert Major Crime; Conspiracy to Murder Uncovered in Real Estate Feud

Hyderabad: In a swift and strategic joint operation on April 18, 2025, the Commissioner’s Task Force South West Zone Team, in coordination with the Langer House Police Station, successfully apprehended key individuals involved in a sinister conspiracy to commit murder. The operation led to the arrest of Syed Afroz and his associates who were found to be in illegal possession of two country-made pistols and five live rounds. The gang was plotting to eliminate Ahmed Ali Khan @ Ashraf @ Ashu, a rowdy sheeter of Narsingi Police Station, and his brother Ibrahim @ Amer, due to ongoing personal and financial disputes.

Background & Motive:

Investigations revealed that the primary accused, Syed Afroz (A1), had a fallout with Ashraf and his brother over real estate transactions, particularly involving litigation land settlements. The victims had allegedly defaulted on promised payments, escalating tensions. The conspiracy further deepened due to a past murder involving the younger brother of Syed Imtiyaz Ali (A5), allegedly carried out by Ashraf and his associates, which is currently under investigation in Cr.No. 102/2020 of Langer House PS.

To execute their plan, A1 Syed Afroz procured weapons from Jaber (A6) and Mohd Jameel @ Jammu (A7) — both currently absconding — and teamed up with co-conspirators involved in their shared business dealings.

Modus Operandi:

The accused, driven by business rivalry and long-standing personal enmities, secretly orchestrated a plan to eliminate their adversaries. Their actions were fuelled by unresolved financial conflicts and retaliatory motives stemming from previous criminal acts.

Arrested Accused:

Syed Afroz (A1), 37, Construction Business, Langar House, Hyderabad

Mohd Shah Owais (A2), 29, Real Estate, Indra Nagar, Langar House

Mohd Arbaaz Khan (A3), 22, Student, Indira Nagar, Langar House

Syed Firdos (A4), 34, Real Estate Construction, Langar House

Syed Imtiyaz Ali (A5), 45, Chicken Centre Operator, Mehdipatnam

Absconding Accused:

Jaber (A6), Rowdy Sheeter of Attapur PS

Mohd Jameel @ Jammu (A7), associate of A1

Seized Property:

2 Country-made pistols and 5 live rounds

Quails Vehicle (Reg. No. AP29AU2842)

6 Mobile Phones (Oppo, Samsung, iPhone, etc.)

Total estimated value: ₹5,10,000/-

Police Action:

Upon receiving credible intelligence from informants, officers acted swiftly to prevent the planned attack. The accused were apprehended before they could execute their plot, thereby averting a potentially violent crime.
