The Ramjanambhoomi-Babri Masjid land title dispute verdict will be pronounced on 9 November at 10:30am by the Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi.
The judgment will be pronounced by constitution bench headed by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi and comprising justices SA Bobde, DY Chandrachud, Ashok Bhushan and S. Abdul Nzaeer
The hearing in the Ayodhya case began after the mediation panel report suggested that the parties had not arrived at any settlement. The court had earlier agreed to give mediation chance and had set up a three-member mediation panel.
The Apex Court had heard the case for 40 days continuously, which is the second longest hearing in the history of Supreme Court after the landmark hearing in Keshavananda Bharati case which lasted 68 days.
The day of hearing commenced on August 6, after CJI declared that the mediation talks by the SC-appointed panel of Justice F M Khalifullah, Sri Sri Ravi Shanker and Senior Advocate Sriram Panchu failed.
The 40 days hearing witnessed a lot of drama and it ended on 16 Oct 2019.The constitutional bench had directed the parties on the last day to submit notes on written submissions on molding of relief or narrowing down the issue on which the court is required to adjudicate, within next three days.
Fourteen appeals have been filed in the Apex Court against the 2010 Allahabad High Court Judgment, delivered in four civil suits, that the 2077-Acres land in Ayodhya be partitioned equally among three parties- Sunni Waqf Board, the Nirmohi Akhara and Ram Lalla.
The judgment, which has serious social and political implications, depending on the verdict, was expected to be delivered before November 17 when Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi demits office.
