Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Pays Tribute at Mahatma Gandhi Statue in Hiroshima

Hiroshima, Japan – April 22, 2025: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy visited the Mahatma Gandhi statue at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park today, paying his respects to the global icon of non-violence and peace. The visit is part of his official tour to Japan aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas of technology, education, and sustainable development.

During the solemn occasion, CM A. Revanth Reddy laid a floral tribute at the statue and reflected on Gandhi’s message of peace and non-violence, particularly poignant in a city that stands as a symbol of the devastating impact of war.

The Chief Minister also interacted with local dignitaries and members of the Indian community in Japan, emphasizing the importance of cultural diplomacy in fostering stronger international relations. He also paid floral tributes at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park on Tuesday. He also visited the Atomic Bomb dome, the only structure remaining standing in the city since 1945.
