Telangana’s Lawyer Couple Brutally Killed in Broad Day Light, Had Sought Police Protection Months Ago, Advocate files letter petition in SC

In a broad day light attack a lawyer couple in Telangana was brutally hacked to death.
Telangana High Court Advocates Mr. Gattu Vaman Rao and Mrs.P.V.Nagamani who were the practicing Advocates of Telangana High Court and subordinates courts were killed near Peddapalli District (Ramagundam Police Commissionerate),Telangana State.
A Hyderabad based lawyer Mr. Khaja Aijaz Uddin has filed a letter petition before Chief Justice of India seeking for CBI enquiry.
Recently the Telangana High Court had ordered for the extension of their police protection.
The vehicle of the deceased lawyers was intercepted on Wednesday afternoon while they were returning to Hyderabad after attending a court case in Manthani.
The murder was caught on camera by multiple peoplepassing by.
The lawyer couple were more into adhering to the “Rules of Law”. By filing PILs and more involved in getting justice to the oppressed people by approaching the Hon’ble High Court of Telangana and necessary forums.
The letter petition further contends that the Lawyer couple br6ught to the notice of Lock up death which took place at Ramagundam Police Commissionerate police Station somewhere in June’2019 and sought intervention of Hon’ble High Court of Telangana, the Hon’ble High Court of Telangana Division Bench No. 1 passed some orders directing the State DGP Police to provide protection to the lawyer couple. lt appears from the
incident which took place today some Ruling Party leaders are behind the murder as per the statement given by the Victim Male lawyer while dying, so also the Telangana Police remained mute spectator or they were well known about this incident as the past events of the lawyer couple the police shall be having intelligence reports to provide the lawyer couple with Security. The Ramagundam Police Commissionerate at whose Jurisdiction the incident took place this noon and
looking! into the past events, it appears Ramagundam Police intentionally and deliberately failed to oversee the security cover for the lawyer couple.
It is prayed that take a Suo – moto cognizance of this letter and initiate a CBI enquiry into the murder.
The Bar Council of Telangana has issued a statement condemning the alleged incident. “The country is witnessing frequent attacks on advocates and that no person can take Law into hands and resort to illegal activities and that the matter shall be dealt with as per the Law”
The Bar Council also demands the Government to enact Advocates Protection Act to safeguard the Advocate Community, who discharge their duties to protect the rights of the Citizens
