Seven Ganja Peddlers Arrested in Major Drug Bust at Secunderabad Railway Station; 8 Kgs of Narcotics Seized

In a significant operation, the Commissioner’s Task Force North Zone Team, in collaboration with Ramgopal pet Police, Secunderabad, successfully arrested seven individuals involved in a major drug trafficking ring. The group, operating out of the parking area at James Street Railway Station, Secunderabad, was caught red-handed with 8 kilograms of Ganja. Two additional consumers were also apprehended based on credible intelligence.

The main accused, Tamata Sanjay (24), a notorious rowdy sheeter, alongside his cousin Tamata Pavan (26), both from Marredpally, led the operation. They were found transporting and distributing large quantities of Ganja in the Hyderabad area. The seized drugs were part of a larger supply chain involving associates: Jwala Deepanshu Kumar (22), Dappu Kiran Kumar (19), Koguru Naveen Kumar (22), Muthu Krishna Rohith Kumar (26), and Marpu Joel Vanshika (22). They were supplying the narcotics to various local consumers, including Thota Harshavardhan (27) and Dasari Dikshit Sai Kumar (23).

Authorities have also launched a search for Subba Rao, the main supplier of Ganja from Araku, who remains absconding.

The operation, led by Inspector K. Saidulu and his team from the North Zone Task Force, has disrupted a major drug network in Secunderabad. The police seized 8 kilograms of Ganja with a street value of approximately 2.4 lakh rupees. The investigation continues as authorities track down the remaining suspects.
