Rachakonda Leads Telangana in Road Safety Awareness During National Road Safety Month 2025

Hyderabad,6, February, 2025. In a remarkable achievement during National Road Safety Month 2025, Rachakonda Commissionerate emerged as the leader in Telangana for spreading road safety awareness among citizens. Following directives from the Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, and DCP Road Safety, the Traffic, L&O Zones, and Traffic Training Institutes (TTI) collectively organized 1,494 awareness programs throughout the region.

These sessions reached approximately 2,24,100 individuals across Rachakonda, with L&O conducting 708 sessions, the Traffic Wing leading 378, and TTI delivering 408. The extensive efforts positioned Rachakonda at the forefront of road safety advocacy in Telangana.

The Rachakonda Police have employed innovative strategies to curb road accidents, engaging a wide range of participants, including drivers, pedestrians, students, RTC and lorry drivers, auto drivers, and individuals at bus stands. Students, media professionals, and other community members played an active role in amplifying the road safety message.

Numerous educational institutions hosted awareness programs targeting students, emphasizing the importance of road safety norms. In a grand event at ACE Engineering College, Ghatkesar, organized in collaboration with the Rachakonda Security Council (RKSC), Commissioner of Police Sri G. Sudheer Babu, IPS, highlighted the significance of adhering to road safety guidelines to save lives. Families of road accident victims, students, drivers, and media personnel participated in the event, reinforcing the collective effort to promote road safety.
