Justice Rohit Baban Deo of Bombay High Court Resigns, Announces Resignation in Open Court

In a significant development Justice Rohit B Deo of Bombat High Court has tendered his resignation today announcing his decision in open court.
Justice Deo, sitting at the Nagpur bench of the Bombay High Court, also discharged the board consisting of listed matters for the day.
While announcing his decision the Judge also apologized in open court.
According to the lawyers present in the court, Justice Deo said the lawyers they were like their family.
He also said that he has no hard feelings against anyone, and that he is sorry if he hurt anyone. He further told the lawyers that he wants them to continue working hard.
I apologize to every one of you. I scolded you because I wanted you to improve. I cannot work against my self-respect.
He had in the recent past passed two important judgments in which he had stayed a GR pertaining to contractors of the Samruddhi Expressway, and passed an order in October last year acquitting Delhi University professor G.N Saibaba who was sentenced for alleged Maoists links.
Justice Deo was born on December 5, 1963, and served as Advocate general of Mharashtra before he was elevated to the bench in June 2017,He was due to retire on December,4, 2025.
