CBI Files Charge sheet Against 15 Accused Including Then Officials of NICL, Bank Managers, Private Persons for Causing Loss of Rs. 47.68 Lakh (Approx.) To NICL

The Central Bureau of Investigation has filed chargesheet before the Special Judge, CBI Cases, Guwahati (Assam) against 15 accused including then Dy. Manager, National Insurance Company Ltd. (NICL), Guwahati; then Senior Manager, NICL Mangaldai District, Darrang, (Assam); then Senior Manager, Punjab National Bank (Erstwhile Oriental Bank of Commerce), PNB Circle Office at Dharapur, Guwahati; then Assistant Manager, Punjab National Bank (Erstwhile Oriental Bank of Commerce); empanelled Private Investigators of NICL; a Teacher and Private Persons on the allegations of causing loss of Rs. 47.68 lakh (approx.) to National Insurance Company Ltd.
CBI had registered a case against the accused. It was alleged that the accused in connivance with each other made false, forged & fabricated FIRs by using crime numbers of genuine FIRs of various Police Stations of Assam, made false, forged, fabricated complaints and other documents for the purpose of availing benefit of false Motor Accident Claims during the period 2015-2017 and thereby caused loss of Rs. 47,68,000/- to National Insurance Co. Ltd.
After investigation, a charge sheet was filed.
