Bar Council of India sets up state of the art video conferencing rooms for lawyers, to be operational from May 26.

The bar Council of India has developed state of the art video conferencing rooms for the which are totally equipped with modern gadgets for the benefit of lawyers of the Supreme Court and Delhi high Court, for smoothly conducting the video conferencing hearing, these rooms will be available starting from May 26.
The press-release issued by the BCI states that these rooms will available to lawyers free of any charges for the first come first serve basis and the advocates willing to use this facility will have to book the room for their desired tire slot by sending an e-mail on the prescribed ID.
These fully equipped rooms complete with the Wifi internet will also have computer friendly staff to help the lawyers with using the technology.
“The sole object behind this decision is to help the common Advocates, who have no chambers and/or system or necessary expertise available with them.”

“No more than 2 Advocates/Persons will be allowed to enter the premise of bar Council of India for a particular case.ideally.however, if both sides come for the video Conferencing in one case, the total number of the persons should not exceed four.”{
The BCI Press release further says it is also in the process of developing Arbitration and Mediation centres and hopes that the sa,e will be functional in the next5-6 weeks.
