Legislature Appoints Tulsi Raj Gokul as Standing Counsel. Its New Legal Guardian

Hyderabad, 26, October,2025-In a significant legal development, seasoned High Court Advocate Tulsi Raj Gokul has been appointed as the Standing Counsel for the Telangana Legislature. With an illustrious career spanning over three decades in the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh High Courts, Mr. Gokul brings a wealth of experience in constitutional, legislative, and administrative law.
“In the circumstances as stated by the Legislature (OP.I) Secretariat vide reference 3 nd read above, Government hereby accord permission for engaging the services of A.Tulsi Raj Gokul, Advocate as Standing Counsel on contract basis, to work under the administrative control of Legislature (OP.I) Secretariat, Telangana, Hyderabad.
A native of Vikarabad, Mr. Gokul completed his graduation from Nizam College and obtained his law degree from Padma Rama Reddy Law College, Hyderabad. Over the years, he has built a formidable reputation for his deep understanding of constitutional provisions and his articulate representation in matters concerning the Legislature and governance.
Following his appointment, Mr. Tulsi Raj Gokul paid courtesy visits to Hon’ble Speaker of the Telangana Legislative Assembly, Shri Gaddam Prasad Kumar, and Hon’ble Chairman of the Telangana Legislative Council, Shri Gutha Sukhender Reddy, on Saturday. His appointment is expected to strengthen the legal framework and advisory mechanism of the State Legislature, ensuring that its constitutional and procedural interests are effectively safeguarded.
