Delhi, 13 October 2025—In a landmark affirmation of judicial commitment to human rights, the Society for Securing Justice (SSJ), in association with the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), convened the “Justice for All: Human Rights” conference at Aggarwal Bhawan, Adarsh Nagar, Delhi. Distinguished by its North Delhi venue—a departure from the traditional preference for South Delhi—the event was lauded by dignitaries for broadening access to vital human rights discourse in new corners of the Capital.

The conference witnessed the esteemed presence of several distinguished legal and public figures, lending it both stature and substance. Hon’ble Dr. Justice B.R. Sarangi, Member of the National Human Rights Commission and Former Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court, graced the occasion with his judicial insight. P.K. Malhotra, Indian Legal Service, Former Law Secretary to the Government of India, added depth with his administrative acumen. Among the notable attendees were Mukesh Goyal, Councillor, Municipal Corporation of Delhi; Anil Soni, Senior Advocate, Delhi High Court; Rajiv Tehlan, President, Rohini Court Bar Association; and Dr. Vijay Jindal, President, Society for Securing Justice.

The organizational efforts were ably spearheaded by Advocate Vineet Jindal, General Secretary of the Society for Securing Justice and the North Delhi Lawyers Association, whose pivotal role ensured the event’s successful execution.

Delivering the keynote address at a conference organized by SSJ India, Hon’ble Dr. Justice B.R. Sarangi, Judge of the Supreme Court of India, underscored the vital role of the Human Rights Commission in ensuring that no citizen of India is deprived of their fundamental human rights.

Justice Sarangi observed that the Commission acts as a sentinel of justice, taking timely and necessary measures to safeguard and protect citizens’ rights across the nation. Commending the organizers for their commitment, he congratulated SSJ India for successfully hosting the event and for its continued efforts in advancing justice, equality, and welfare within the community.

Extending his appreciation for the initiative, Former Law Secretary Shri P.K. Malhotra praised SSJ India’s inclusive approach in hosting the program in North Delhi, noting that such conferences are traditionally concentrated in the southern parts of the capital. He remarked that this outreach reflects the society’s commitment to accessibility and wider participation in human rights discourse.

Acknowledging the presence of eminent dignitaries, Shri Malhotra said that the involvement of stalwarts such as Justice B.R. Sarangi added immense significance to the deliberations. He emphasized that with the collective wisdom and support of such personalities, the voice of the people can be more effectively articulated before the National Human Rights Commission and the Government.

Dr. Vijay Jindal, President of the Society for Securing Justice (SSJ), emphasized that the exercise of human rights must be grounded in civic duty. “We must recognize that rights come with corresponding responsibilities. When we fulfill our duties towards society and the nation, we earn the moral ground to assert our rights,” he stated.

Senior Advocate Shri Anil Soni of the Delhi High Court cautioned against the misuse of human rights rhetoric to shield unlawful conduct. He called upon the National Human Rights Commission to adopt a resolute stance against such distortions, asserting that “those who exploit the banner of human rights to justify illegality must not be afforded protection.”

Addressing the gathering, Shri Rajiv Tehlan, President of the Rohini Court Bar Association, paid tribute to the enduring role of lawyers in defending civil liberties. “From the freedom movement to contemporary struggles, advocates have stood as sentinels of justice, unwavering in their commitment to the people’s cause,” he affirmed.

The conference, jointly organized by SSJ and NHRC, marked a significant moment in Delhi’s human rights dialogue, bringing legal thought leadership to the fore in North Delhi.

Expressing his gratitude, Advocate Vineet Jindal, General Secretary of the Society for Securing Justice, thanked all dignitaries, guests, and members of the public for their valuable presence and contribution.

He said, “I sincerely thank all our esteemed guests, speakers, and participants for taking out their valuable time to join this important initiative.

Your presence and encouragement made the conference on ‘Justice for All: Human Rights’ a remarkable success. I am equally grateful to the citizens and members of the legal community of North Delhi for their enthusiastic participation and support.”

The conference concluded with a message of unity and collective responsibility toward safeguarding human rights and promoting justice for all, reaffirming SSJ India’s commitment to legal awareness and social welfare.
