UP: Lawyer Shot Dead at District Court Premises in Shahjahanpur City

Once again in a shocking gun-fire incident, a lawyers have been shot dead inside a district court complex in Uttar Pradesh’s Shahjahanpur District Court premises on Monday at around 11:30 A.M. The deceased is identified as Bhupendra Singh, was reportedly speaking to someone he was shot by an unknown person.
The reason behind the killing is yet to be ascertained and the police have begun the investigation.
According to the reports at around 11:45pm, advocate Bhupendra Singh was shot dead in the ACJM office situated at third floor of the premises. A country made pistol was also found near the dead body.
The forensic team is at work and the circumstances around killing is unclear, according the superintendent of police S. Anand Shahjahanpur.
Earlier in Rohini Court premises in Delhi a similar incident had taken place where a gangster Jitendra Gogi was shot dead in a broad daylight.
In today’s incident no one was present in the office at the time of incident.
As soon as the information was received S. Anand, DM Inder Vikram Singh reached the spot and investigating the matter.
Heavy police forces were deployed to pacify the situation, several lawyers speaking to the media on the site, termed the incident as a huge lapse in security.
