Transfer of Justice PV Sanjay Kumar, As P&H HC Judge: THCAA plans a week-long agitation

The legal fraternity of Telangana has expressed their displeasure upon the recent proposal of Supreme Court Collegium to transfer Justice PV Sanjay Kumar of the Telanagana High Court as a judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

The THCAA as a mark of protest have passed a resolution today afternoon for the abstention of lawyers from the appearing in courts throughout Telangana this week.

The resolution has called for a recall of the Collegium resolution proposing the transfer of Justice PV Sanjay Kumar as a judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

The THCAA contends in their resolution that state must be given a fair representation of the state of Telangana.

It is also resolved that a delegation will take steps to meet the CJI and Union Law Minister.

It is also resolved that all the Presidents of District Courts, Subordinate Courts and Their association members to abstain work from 4-9-2019-to7-9-2019.

It is unanimously resolved to file a Public Interest Litigation before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in respect of framing of guidelines with regard to the appointment of Judges, elevation of Chief Justice of Hon’ble High Courts, elevation to Supreme Courts and transfer of Judges.
