THCAA Seeks Stay on e-Auction of Land in Budvel RR District by HMDA

In a significant move the Telangana High Court Advocate Association has filed a PIL before Telangana High Court, seeking a direction to the respondents (State Govt.), to stay the proposed auction of the land Scheduled on 10 August situated in Survey Number 282, 289 Budvel Village, Rajendernagar mandal rangareddy Districts.

The present PIL is filed to stop illegal action of the State Government & its authorities which is going to conduct the e-auction and sell the government lands, in respect of Budwel lands, situated in Sy.No.282, 299 only, to the various private persons/private companies on 10.08.2023, thereby State Government issued the e-auction schedule & notification on 04.08.2023, pre-bid meeting on 06.08.2023 and last date for registration on 08.08.2023 till 05.00 PM, last date of EMD payment on 09.08.2023 up to 05.00 PM and date & time of e-auction on 10.08.2023 & 11:00 AM to 02.00 PM.

The said e-auction notification  was published & advertised in all daily newspapers, and without considering the earlier proposal by the petitioner Association including proposal & recommendations of the Learned Registrar General High Court of TS, which are kept pending with the respondents, despite continuous follow-up made by the Learned Registrar General, High Court of Telangana, even though the Telangana Government & its authorities announced & proposed the allotment of the government land an extent of Acc.100, in Sy.No. 282, 299, situated at Budwel Village, Rajenderanagar Mandal, Rangareedy district, TS in order to constructing the Telangana High Court building with all world class amenities, but & surprisingly respondents herein are going conduct the e-auction in respect of Budwel lands, particularly lands situated in Sy.No.282, 299, and same has been illegal, arbitrary & unjust, and its nothing misuse of their official powers. Therefore, the Petitioner Association herein constrain to file the present PIL,

It is further submitted that for past several years, advocates and staff of the high court had been facing serious problem of finding space to park their vehicles on the present high court premises. While the government on the other hand responded positively to the pleas of the THAA, suddenly the HMDA and the state government issued a notification four days ago.

The plea is likely to come up for hearing soon.
