(Judicial Quest News Network)

My colleagues in the Union Cabinet are Mr. Nitin Gadkari ji, Narendra Singh Tomar ji, Prakash Javadekar ji, Piyush Goyal ji, Dharmendra Pradhan ji, Devusing Jesingbhai Chouhan ji, MP from Kheda, Gujarat, Bhai Jai Prakash Rawat ji, MP from Hardoi, UP. Mayor Murlidhar Moul ji, Mayor sister of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Usha ji, other dignitaries present in this program and my dear brothers and sisters,

Our farmer companions, when I was talking to them, how they are easily adopting the systems related to bio-fuel, and were telling their point in a wonderful way. Confidence was also visible in him. Clean Energy- The big campaign of Clean Energy that is going on in the country, it is natural for the agriculture sector of the country to get huge benefits. Today, on the occasion of World Environment Day, India has taken another big step. I have the privilege of just releasing today a detailed roadmap for the development of the ethanol sector . The ambitious E-100 pilot project for the production and distribution of ethanol across the country has also been launched in Pune. I congratulate the people of Pune. Congratulations to the Mayor of Pune. I wish all the very best that we are able to achieve our set targets on time.

comrades,

If you notice, 7-8 years ago today, ethanol was rarely discussed in the country. No one even mentioned him. And even if I mentioned it, it used to be like this when it comes to routine. But now ethanol has become one of the major priorities of 21st century India. The focus on ethanol is having a better impact on the environment as well as on the lives of farmers. Today we have resolved to meet the target of 20 percent ethanol blending in petrol by 2025. When the target was first thought. So it was thought that we will do this by 2030. But the way successes have been achieved in the last few days, public support has been received, awareness has come among the people. And everyone is beginning to understand its importance. And because of this we have now decided to reduce what we wanted to do in 2030 by 5 years till 2025. 5 years advance.

comrades,

The courage of such a big decision, the goals that the country has achieved in the last 7 years, the efforts made by the country, and the success that has come out of it. Because of that, I have got the courage to take this decision today. Till 2014, on an average, only one-and-a-half percent of ethanol could be blended in India. Today it has reached about eight and a half percent. In the year 2013-14, where 38 crore liters of ethanol were purchased in the country, now it is estimated to be more than 320 crore liters. That is, about eight times more ethanol has been bought. Last year alone, oil marketing companies bought ethanol worth about Rs 21,000 crore. a large part of it The 21,000 crore rupees which were spent now a large part has gone into the pockets of the farmers of our country. Especially our sugarcane farmers have benefited a lot from this. By the year 2025, when 20 percent ethanol will start blending in petrol, you can imagine how huge amount of money farmers will get directly from oil companies. This, in turn, poses the challenges associated with over-production of sugar, which sometimes leads to higher yields. So there is no buyer in the world. Prices fall in the country too. And a big challenge arises, where to keep it also becomes a crisis. In mitigating all such challenges and its direct benefit is linked to the safety of the sugarcane farmer. There are going to be many benefits.

comrades,

The 21st century India will get energy only from the modern thinking, modern policies of the 21st century. With this thinking, our government is continuously taking policy decisions in every field. Today, a lot of emphasis is being laid on the creation of necessary infrastructure for the production and purchase of ethanol in the country. Till now most of the units producing ethanol and mostly 4-5 were in those states where sugar production is high. This expansion, which is rotten to the grain in the country came to the grain. Using it, Food Grain Based Distilleries are being established. Modern technology based plants are also being set up in the country to make ethanol from agriculture waste.

comrades,

India has emerged as a ray of hope in the global efforts to tackle the menace of climate change. Today, India has made its mark as a trusted partner for the welfare of a faithful mankind. The world which once used to see India as a challenge, Climate Change, such a large population of India thinks that the crisis will come from here. Today the situation has changed, today our country is emerging as the leader of Climate Justice, becoming a big force against a formidable crisis. One Sun, One World, One Grid The International Solar Alliance, realizing the vision of One Sun, One World, and One Grid system, be it its creation, or the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure initiative, India is a big global vision. moving forward together.Today, India has made its place in the top 10 major countries of the world in the Climate Change Performance Index.

comrades,

India is also aware of the challenges that are being faced due to climate change and is also working actively. We in the Global South are sensitive towards energy justice and advocate for the responsibilities of Global North, while on the other hand we are also discharging our role with utmost seriousness. India has chosen a path of energy transition in which both hard and soft components are equally important in our policies and decisions. If I talk about hard components, then there should be big goals set by India, unprecedented speed to implement them, this world is watching very closely. Our capacity for renewable energy has grown by more than 250 percent in 6-7 years. India is today in the top-5 countries of the world in terms of installed renewable energy capacity. In this also, the capacity of solar energy has increased by about 15 times in the last 6 years. Today’s India, In Kutch, the world’s largest Solar and Win Hybrid Energy Park is being built in the Kutch desert of Gujarat, while India has also closed 14 GW old coal plants. The country has also taken historic steps with a soft approach. Today the common man of the country has joined the Pro-Environment Campaign, he is leading it.

We see how awareness has been created regarding single use plastic. People are also trying a little bit in their own way . Still more needs to be done. But the point has arrived, efforts have started. Look at the cleanliness of our beaches, youth are taking initiative. Or be it a campaign like Swachh Bharat, the common citizens of the country took them on their shoulders, took their responsibility and my countrymen have taken it forward today. Due to the country giving more than 37 crore LED bulbs and more than 23 lakh energy efficient fans, the work of environmental protection has been done, people have probably lost the habit of discussing it often. But this should be the subject of much discussion. Similarly, by getting free gas connections to crores of families under the Ujjwala scheme, by getting electricity connections under the Saubhagya scheme, which first smoked by burning wood in the stove. I had to live. Today their dependence on burning this wood has reduced to a great extent. Apart from reducing pollution, it has helped a lot in the direction of health and in that also the health of our mothers and children and environmental protection. But this too is not discussed much. India has prevented the emission of millions of tons of carbon dioxide through these efforts and has made India a leader in the direction of climate change mitigation. Similarly, through more than 3 lakh Energy Efficient Pumps, the country is preventing millions of tonnes of carbon dioxide from dissolving in the air today.

comrades,

Today, India is setting an example in front of the world that when it comes to protecting the environment, it is not necessary to block development works while doing so. Both economy and ecology can go together, move forward, and this is the path India has chosen. Along with strengthening the economy, our forest cover has also increased by 15 thousand square kilometers in the last few years. In the last few years, the number of tigers in our country, the number of tigers has doubled. The number of leopards has also increased by about 60 percent. Amidst all this, the Wildlife Friendly Corridor in Pench National Park is also a topic of discussion today.

comrades,

Clean and Efficient Energy Systems, Resilient Urban Infrastructure and Planned Eco-Restoration is a very important part of Self-Reliant India Campaign. Be it highway-expressways with green cover, solar powered metros, focus on electric vehicles, or promotion of research on hydrogen-powered vehicles, all these are being worked out with a detailed strategy. . Due to all these efforts related to environment, new investment opportunities are being created in the country, lakhs of youth are also getting employment.

comrades,

The general belief is that air pollution spreads only through industry. But the fact is that many factors like transportation, unclean fuels, diesel generators contribute to air pollution in some way or the other. And that is why, India is working in all these directions with a holistic approach through its National Clean Air Plan. The work being done today regarding waterways and multimodal connectivity will not only strengthen the mission of green transport, but will also improve the logistics efficiency of the country. CNG based infrastructure should be created in hundreds of districts of the country, modern system like FASTag, these are helping a lot in reducing pollution. Today, the service of metro rail in the country has increased from 5 cities to 18 cities. The work done in the direction of Suburban Railway has also reduced the use of personal vehicles.

comrades,

Today a large part of the country’s railway network has been electrified. Airports of the country are also being rapidly made solar power based. Before 2014, only 7 airports had solar power facility, whereas today this number has increased to more than 50. For energy efficiency, the work of installing LED lights in more than 80 airports has also been completed. I would like to tell in front of you another example related to future preparations.

The world’s tallest monument of Sardar Vallabhbhai has been built in Statue of Unity, Gujarat. Work is also underway to develop the beautiful Kevadiya city as an electric vehicle city, where the Statue of Unity is located. In future, only battery based buses, two-wheelers and four-wheelers will run in Kevadian. For this, necessary infrastructure will also be made available there.

comrades,

Water cycle is also becoming directly related to climate change. If the balance in the water cycle deteriorates, then it directly affects the water security. Today, as much work is being done regarding water security in the country, it has never happened before. The work is being done with a holistic approach from the creation and conservation of water sources in the country to their use. Jal Jeevan Mission is also a great medium for this. And I would like to remind you that this time a program is going on in Jal Jeevan Mission. In which I need the help of the citizens of the country. That is save the rain water, catch the rain water, let us stop the rain water, save it.

brothers and sisters

In about 7 decades, piped water reached about 30 million rural households in the country, while in less than two years, more than 40 million households have been provided tap water. On one hand, every household is being connected with pipes, while on the other hand, the focus is on raising the ground water level through campaigns like Atal Bhujal Yojana and Catch the Rain.

comrades,

Balance between development and environment, this is an important part of our ancient tradition, which we are also making the strength of self-reliant India. Our scriptures have always taught us the balance of the relationship of Jiva and Prakriti, the balance of Vyashti and Samashti, the balance of Jiva and Shiva. We have been told here that yat pinde tat universe. That is, the body that is in the living entity is in the universe. Everything we do for ourselves directly affects our environment. Therefore, India’s efforts are also increasing regarding the efficiency of its resources. In the circular economy that is being talked about today, the focus is on such products and such processes, in which there is least pressure on resources. The government has also identified 11 such areas, from which we can make good use of resources by recycling them through modern technology. A lot of work has been done in the last few years on Waste to Wealth, i.e. waste to Kanchan campaign and now it is being taken forward very fast in mission mode. Be it waste from households and farms, be it Scrap Metal, Lithium Ion Batteries, recycling is being encouraged through new technology in many such areas. Action plan related to this, which will have all aspects related to regulatory and development, it has to be done. Will be implemented in the coming months.

comrades,

To protect the climate, it is very important to organize our efforts to protect the environment. When every citizen of the country will make a united effort to maintain the balance of water, air and land, then only we will be able to give a safe environment to our coming generations. It was the wish of our forefathers – and a very good thing has been said by our ancestors for us. What did our ancestor wish us for? Very well said, he has said – Prithvi: Pooh Cha Urvi Bhava. That is, the whole earth , the whole environment, may be best for all of us, give a chance to our dreams, with this best wishes, today on World Environment Day, I wish many good wishes to all the great people associated with it. Take care of yourself, keep yourself healthy. Keep your family members healthy. And with the expectation that there should be no laxity in the Kovid protocol Thank you very much, thank you.
