Supreme Court Seeks Stakeholder Input on Proposed Amendments to Rules and Procedures

New Delhi – 15, April-The Supreme Court Rules Amendment Committee is actively considering changes to the Supreme Court Rules, 2013, and has invited suggestions from stakeholders across the justice delivery system to help shape the reform.

In an official communication, the Committee urged legal professionals, litigants, and other stakeholders to submit their views and recommendations to ensure a comprehensive overhaul of the existing rules and procedures. The input may also relate to the Handbook on Practice and Procedure and Office Procedure, 2017.

All suggestions must be submitted via email only to reg.admnmaterial@sci.nic.in no later than May 1, 2025. Submissions in hard copy will not be accepted.

The move is part of the Supreme Court’s ongoing efforts to streamline and refine its practices for greater efficiency and clarity in judicial processes.
