Strengthening India-US Ties: PM Modi & US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan Discuss Strategic Partnership

The US National Security Advisor, Mr. Jake Sullivan, called on Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi today, marking a significant discussion on the progress of the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership. Over the last four years, the partnership has advanced in key areas including technology, defence, space, civil nuclear cooperation, clean energy, semiconductors, and artificial intelligence.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi reflected on his numerous engagements with President Joe Biden, particularly during his visit to the US for the Quad Leaders’ Summit in September 2024. He expressed his appreciation for President Biden’s pivotal role in strengthening bilateral ties and acknowledged his lasting contributions to the partnership.

PM Modi also expressed his gratitude for a letter from President Biden, which was handed over by NSA Sullivan. In response, the Prime Minister reaffirmed India’s commitment to deepening cooperation with the United States, emphasizing the importance of further strengthening the relationship between the world’s two largest democracies for mutual benefit and global progress.

The meeting concluded with PM Modi conveying his best wishes to President Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, underscoring the personal and diplomatic warmth that continues to define the enduring India-US relationship.
