SCBA Presidents Writes to CJI SA Bobde for normal functioning of Supreme Court

SCBA President Mr. Dushyant Dave has written a letter to the Chief Justice of India S.A.Bobde urgin him to resume normal functioning of the Supreme Court.
He has stated in his letter:
“I write to you on behalf of the Supreme Court bar Association, Executive Committee and Myself. Supreme Court Bar Association, represents over 14,000 members, young and old, junior and senior, AOR and arguing counsels”, by President, SCBA.
He further said in his letter that while the Court’s restricted functioning and the move towards virtual hearings helped in ensuring the safety and well-being of all concerned in the Supreme Court’s ecosystem, the time has come to return to normal functioning, albeit gradually the letter points out.
Mr. Dave further adds that time has come to start an intensive interaction between the Bar and Bench.
Legal Fraternity as well as litigants are getting impatient waiting to get Justice from this Hon’ble Court in their pending or future matters.
The Continued lockdown is adversely impacting the administration of justice as courts are compelled to work in a curtailed manner. Entry of a common man as well as Advocates is restricted to reduce or control the spread of this contagious virus the pandemic has caused Global panic.
It has necessitated caution and prescribed precautionary steps to be followed.
This Corona Virus has exposed serious fractures in the existing system warranting a relook t the current norms and for bringing about radical changes in all jurisdictions.
