Ram Rahim’s Parole plea accepted

Dera Sacha Sauda Chief Baba Ram Rahim’s parole plea has been accepted by the Haryana Government. The sect head had sought parole for over a month for farming at his fields in Haryana’s Sirsa officials said.
Haryana’s Jail minister Krishan Lal Panwar said the jail superintendent in his letter mentioned that Gurmeet’s conduct in the prison has been good.
Following his application for the parole for 42 days, the jail superintendent had written to Sirsa district administration. In a letter the official dated June 18, the official had sought a report on wether releasing Gurmeet Ram Rahim on Parole would be feasible or not.
Haryana’s additional chief secretary (Home) SS Prasad told reporters here that every prisoner ids entitled for parole depending om how important the reason is for which he is seeking the parole”
In August 2017, the Dera chief was sentenced to 20years in jail for raping two women. A special DBI court in Panchkula had in January this year also sentenced him and three pthers to life imprisonment for the murder of a journalist over 16 years ago.
