Power Play Unveiled: NDA Delegation, led by J.P. Nadda, Propels Narendra Modi as PM

7, June 2024, New Delhi: In a high-stakes political maneuver, a delegation of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), spearheaded by Shri J.P. Nadda, President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), convened at Rashtrapati Bhavan today at 2:30 PM. Their mission: to formally announce the election of Shri Narendra Modi as the Leader of the BJP Parliamentary Party.

A delegation of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by Shri J. P. Nadda, President, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) called on the President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhawan, in New Delhi on June 07, 2024.

Accompanied by stalwarts such as Shri Rajnath Singh, Shri Amit Shah, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, and Dr. C.N. Manjunath from the BJP, the delegation presented a letter to the President, signaling overwhelming support for Modi’s leadership. Joining forces were luminaries from various NDA constituent parties, including Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu from the Telugu Desam Party, Shri Nitish Kumar from Janata Dal (United), Shri Eknath Shinde from Shiv Sena, and a host of others.

With an impressive display of unity, the NDA showcased its strength, submitting letters of support from each constituent party to the President. In a decisive move, the President, after careful consideration of the letters received, affirmed the BJP-led NDA alliance as the largest pre-election coalition, deemed fit to govern the nation.

Exercising her constitutional authority under Article 75(1) of the Indian Constitution, the President appointed Shri Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of India. However, the intrigue doesn’t end there. The President has tasked Modi with determining the date and time for the swearing-in ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan and providing recommendations for the composition of the Union Council of Ministers.

As the political landscape shifts, the NDA’s bold maneuver solidifies Modi’s position at the helm, setting the stage for the next chapter in India’s political saga.
