Kondaparthy Set to Become a Model Bio-Village: A Leap Toward Sustainable Rural Transformation Governor Jishnu Dev Verma
(Judicial Quest News Network)
Today Hon’ble Governor of Telangana Jishnu Dev Verma marks a crucial milestone in the journey of Kondaparthy—a tribal village that will soon become a beacon of sustainability as part of the Bio-Village initiative.
This transformative project is about much more than just infrastructure and livelihoods. It’s about empowering 79 households, representing 370 individuals, to build a future that is both self-sustaining and resilient.
Drawing from my experience as the Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura, where I adopted Daspara village and transformed it into the Bio-Village 2.0 model, I can confidently say that the vision behind this initiative works. Daspara now serves as a shining example of sustainable rural practices and renewable energy adoption, with enhanced agricultural productivity, clean energy solutions, and community-driven development. It has shown India a pathway to a green, prosperous future.
The essence of the Bio-Village model is simple yet profound. It harmonizes ecological balance, economic progress, and social well-being into a unified approach. This is development in its truest sense—inclusive, sustainable, and community-driven. With the adoption of Kondaparthy, we aim to merge tradition with technology, enriching local wisdom through modern tools and scientific knowledge, all while preserving the village’s culture and natural resources.
Key Areas of Development:

- Sustainable Agriculture: Focus on organic farming, water conservation, and the promotion of climate-resilient crops. We will introduce agro-processing, tailoring, and masala-making training to generate new livelihoods.
- Renewable Energy: Solar panels, biogas units, and energy-efficient devices will soon power the village, complemented by afforestation and water management initiatives to restore ecological balance.
- Community Health: Clean drinking water, hygiene education, and nutrition awareness will create a healthier village.
- Education & Skills Development: Digital classrooms will enhance educational infrastructure, and training in agriculture and entrepreneurship will prepare the youth for a connected and bright future.
- Women Empowerment: Through SHGs and entrepreneurship training, we aim to promote economic independence, leadership, and gender equality, with a strong emphasis on women’s active participation in village development.
Looking ahead, true progress will come not just from outside aid, but from the active involvement of the local community. The transformation of Kondaparthy will be led by its own people, supported by government, NGOs, academic institutions, and industry partners. To date, Rs. 1.40 crores have been sanctioned for development works, which are already in progress with district administration support.
We have also unveiled statues of two great tribal icons—Sri Birsa Munda and Sri Komram Bheem—as part of our celebration of tribal culture and heritage. Additionally, a model digital classroom has been established at the tribal welfare primary school, irrigation borewells have been provided for organic farming, and a training center for women in tailoring and masala-making is under construction.
As we look to the future, I call on all stakeholders to move forward with commitment, creativity, and shared purpose. I am confident that Kondaparthy will not only become a model of rural transformation but will also inspire similar projects across Telangana and beyond.
I extend my deepest gratitude to all those contributing to this noble endeavour. To the people of Kondaparthy, may your village shine as a symbol of sustainability, prosperity, and collective progress.
