(Judicial Quest News Network)
A PIL has been moved in Apex Court seeking investigation by NIA in communal clashes, which took place in many parts of the country on the occasion of Ram Navami and Hanuman Jyanti.
The PIL filed by Advocate Vineet Jindal, has asked the court to issue directions for a probe by NIA to find out whether there were any links between violence and “anti-national and International Organisations.
Recently Jahangirpuri witnessed attacks on devotees during procession by firing, stone throwing, vandalising vehicles, and creating communal tension is a threat to the sovereignty of the country. “Considering the gravity of this matter and a series of events across the country in seven different states indicates the involvement of terror funding with possible links to ISIS and other anti-national and international organizations to target Hindus across the country”, said the plea.
These are attempts to destabilise the “social structure of India” and thus an NIA probe is imperative, the petitioner contended.
Jindal also submitted that he has already filed a complaint with the investigating body on April, 15, regarding the violenceduring Ram Navami.
A letter petition has also been moved by an Advocate Amritpal Singh Khalsa before the Chief Justice of India N.V.Ramana to take Suo Moto Cognizance of the Jahangirpuri riots in Delhi. The letter petition said that the Delhi police probe so far, has been partial. Communal and is directly shielding perpetrators of the riots.
The role of the Delhi police in 2020 riots have belittled them weakened the faith of the people in them. With this letter I beseech your lordship attention in exercising epistolary jurisdiction, thereby constituting a committee headed by a sitting judge of this Court, to conduct the impartial probe into the Jahangirpuri riots. At least, the scars as the instant one in somewhat remedied. Added the letter petition.
