Hyderabad Police Officers Honoured for Heroic Role in Rescuing Four Bangladeshi Human Trafficking Victims

In a remarkable display of dedication and commitment to safeguarding human rights, CV Anand IPS, the Director General and Commissioner of Police for Hyderabad City, today commended two police officers for their exceptional efforts in rescuing and safely repatriating four Bangladeshi human trafficking victims. The recognition was given to Sub-Inspector Srikanth Reddy of the Film Nagar Police Station and Woman Constable Nenavath Lavanya of the Punjagutta Police Station for their outstanding contributions in the case.
The victims, who had fallen prey to a human trafficking racket, were rescued within the jurisdictional limits of Film Nagar and Punjagutta Police Stations. The timely and coordinated efforts of the officers led to the safe recovery of the individuals, who were then placed in the Prajwala shelter home for rehabilitation and care.
Following their rescue, the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) in Hyderabad issued the necessary exit permits, paving the way for the victims’ safe repatriation to Bangladesh.
The case underscores the tireless work of the Hyderabad Police in combating human trafficking and protecting vulnerable individuals from exploitation. Commissioner CV Anand praised the officers for their swift action and the successful operation, which has led to a positive outcome for the victims, ensuring they will be reunited with their families in Bangladesh.
