Home Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali, Applauds spirit, enthusiasm and commitment of Telangana Police on successful and peaceful conclusion of Ganesh Festival and Immersion Celebrations

Sri Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Minister for Home convened meeting with Ravi Gupta, Principal Secretary to Govt., Home Dept., M. Mahender Reddy, DG of Police, Commissioners of Police, Anjani Kumar, Mahesh M. Bhagwat, Stephen Ravindra and other Senior Police Officers on Tuesday at his Office Chambers at Lakdikapul, Hyderabad to review the issue of Overall Crime and security and bandobust arrangements of recently concluded Ganesh Festival and Immersion Celebrations.

At the outset, Home Minister congratulated the DGP, Commissioners of Police and the Senior Officers for their taking effective measures and making elaborate arrangements for the security and Bando bust which led the peaceful and successful conclusion of Ganesh Festival and Immersion Celebrations even during the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic situation.  Mohammad Mahmood Ali, instructed the Officers to keep this kind of spirit, enthusiasm and commitment in their day-to-day duties from top to bottom. Home Minister stressed the need to effective implementation of PD Act on hardcore criminals and repeated offenders to send a message to the organized and repeated criminals and criminals involve heinous crimes to have a deterrent effect. Mahmood Ali also emphasized the need to conduct more programs in Colleges, Schools and educational institutions on cyber crimes, crimes against women, children and also on Dial-100, availability of She-Teams and various friendly policing apps available which can be put to use during the times of emergency, need of help and happening or anticipation of crime etc., as such awareness will certainly bring down or prevent occurrence of crime against women, children etc. and also will also create a sense of security and safety.  Home Minister asked the officers to take effective steps to tackle to the Cyber Crime Menace and bring wide publicity over the modus-operandi of criminals of cyber crimes basing on the experience of cases reported as this is the best way to prevent or minimize occurrence of cyber crimes. Home Minister appealed the parents to keep close watch and monitor their children while using smart phones and advise over ill effects on their misuse etc.   Govind Singh, DG., CID, Jithender, Addl. DG., L&O, Shika Goel, Addl. CP., Crimes, Hyderabad, Swati Lakra, ADG., Women Safety and She Teams, Vijay Kumar, Incharge IGP North Zone and Shivashankar Reddy, Incharge IGP West Zone and Sumathi, DIG, Women Safety Wing were the other senior officers who attended the meeting.
