Gujarat High Court Advocates’ Association Elects A New President

Gujarat High Court Advocate Association (GHCAA),has elected a new president Advocate Prithvirajsingh Jadeja.
Jadega defeated the two other candidates Brijesh Trivedi and Mehul Sharad Shah.Jadeja who was the Vice-President of GHCAA, was filling as acting President of GHCAA after former President Asim Pandya,had resigned on account of majoritylawyers opposing his proposal to add Gujarati as a language of the Gujarat High Court.
This bye-election to the GHCAA President took place on November 25.
Jadeja had palyed a vital role to protest against the SC Collegium’s recommendation for the transfer of Justice Nikhil Kariel and JusticeVipul Pancholi.
Pursuant to being elected as president, Jadeja tendered his resignation from the post of Vice-Prersident.
Earlier a meetin of managing committee was called on Tuesday and it decided to appoint Advocate Raseh H Parik, as the new Vice-President till December 2023,
