From Courtroom to Temple: CJI BR Gavai Finds Peace in Lumbini

Nepal Septemebr,6,2025-Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, witnessed a ceremonial welcome for the Chief Justice of India and his family on their visit. They were received by Justice Basudev Acharya, Chief Judge of the High Court of Tulsipur, Butwal Bench, along with other dignitaries, including the District Judge of Rupandehi. Spiritual leader Khenpo Chimed Lhakyal Lama also extended greetings on the occasion.
During the visit, the Chief Justice and his family were taken to the sacred birthplace of Lord Buddha and shown various sites of historical and cultural significance in the region. Expressing his gratitude, the Chief Justice of India conveyed appreciation for the warmth and hospitality extended to him and his family.
