Four Years Rigorous Imprisonment to Sub Inspector of RPF in A Bribery Case

The Special Judge, CBI Cases, Panchkula (Haryana) has sentenced Shri Davinder Singh, then Sub Inspector of Railway Protection Force, Jakhal(Haryana) to undergo four years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs.40,000/- in a bribery case.

CBI had registered a case on 14.09.2016 on a complaint against the accused.  It was alleged that Shri Davinder Singh, SI, RPF Post, Jakhal (Haryana) was demanding bribe of Rs.30,000/- in lieu of releasing the complainant and his fellow labourers who were detained by the accused in RPF Post, Jakhal Railway Station. The bribe amount was negotiated and reduced to Rs.10,000/-. A trap was laid on 14.09.2016 and the accused was caught while demanding & accepting bribe of Rs.10,000/- After investigation, charge sheet was filed in the court of Special. Judge, CBI Cases, Panchkula (Haryana) against the accused.

The Trial Court found the accused guilty and convicted him.
