Don’t Show Any Vaccine-Hesitancy. Vaccination Is For Protecting Frontline Warriors: Governor

Hyderabad, Jan 25: Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan on Monday said that the Covid-19 vaccination was launched with an aim to give protection to frontline warriors on a priority basis.
“The vaccination is being given not for testing. It is for protecting our doctors, healthcare workers, and other medical staff on a priority basis. It is like thanks giving for their services during the pandemic,” she added.
The Governor was launching the Covid-19 vaccination for doctors and healthcare workers at the ESI Hospital and Medical College, here.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan stated that it was a truly proud moment for India to come up with our own vaccine and help many other countries by supplying our vaccine.
“We are supplying our Made in India vaccine to countries like Brazil, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and many other nations. The vaccine development is a great testimony to our Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Atma Nirbhar Bharat getting translated into reality,” she added.
The Governor, once again, appealed to all the doctors, healthcare workers, and other medical professionals to get vaccinated and not to show any vaccine-hesitancy.
“Our vaccines are safe. We have got a reputation as being the leaders in vaccination. More than a million healthcare professionals have already got the first dose of vaccine across the country. Our country is witnessing the world’s largest vaccination drive at the moment. The world is looking at us for the massive supply of vaccine for its effectiveness and affordability. India is emerging as the Pharmacy of the World,” Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan added.
Later, she went round the medical exhibits’ exhibition at the ESI Hospital, where many innovative medical equipment was put on display.
The Governor appreciated the efforts of the medical scientists in collaborating with the DRDO, ISRO, BARC, TIFR, IIT-H and other institutions and coming up with latest and innovative tools to combat Covid-19.
Governor was accompanied by her husband and eminent Nephrologist Dr. P. Soundararajan during her visit to the ESI Hospital.
