CBI Registers One More Case on The Orders of Calcutta High Court Related to Violence and Other Offences in West Bengal

The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered one more case in compliance of the orders of Hon’ble High Court at Calcutta, passed in connection with WPA (P) 142, 143, 144, 145, 146, 147, 148, 149 & 169 of 2021, dated 19.08.2021 and taken over the investigation of the case earlier registered at Police Station Burdwan (West Bengal) vide FIR No. 523/2021 dated 24.06.2021 on a complaint.
The complainant alleged that on 18.04.2021, her husband was returning home. The accused allegedly surrounded him and beat him brutally. Her husband was admitted in hospital where his health continued to deteriorate and hence, he was transferred to another Nursing Homes at Khojbagan & Borehat. Later, the victim was brought back home and expired on 06.05.2021.
CBI has so far registered 38 cases and Investigation is continuing in these cases.
