Secunderabad, Telangana: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a case against the Chief Commercial Inspector of Secunderabad Railway Station in Telangana, following allegations of demanding a bribe from a parking contractor. The inspector, accused of using his position to extort money, reportedly threatened the contractor with severe consequences, including unjust penalties and contract termination, unless he paid a weekly bribe of Rs. 10,000.

The contractor, who has been suffering financial losses due to these extortion demands, claimed that the accused official utilized his authority to intimidate and coerce him. When the contractor refused to comply, the Chief Commercial Inspector allegedly threatened to impose an exorbitant penalty on his business and even threatened to frame him in a criminal case at the Railway Police Force (RPF) or Government Railway Police (GRP) station.

In response to the complaint, the CBI launched an investigation and conducted searches at two locations in Hyderabad linked to the accused. The operation resulted in the discovery of incriminating documents, further supporting the allegations of corruption.

The investigation is ongoing, as authorities continue to probe the extent of the official’s illegal activities.
