CBI Arrests Two Officials Of Delhi Police Including Sub Inspector In A Bribery Case, And Recovers Rs.10.85 Lakh (Approx)During Searches

The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Sub Inspector and an Assistant Sub Inspector of Police Station Malviya Nagar, New Delhi in a bribery case of Rs. 50,000/-.
A case was registered on a complaint against the accused on the allegations of demanding bribe of Rs. 50, 000/- from the Complainant to settle the matter in a FIR registered at Police Station Malviya Nagar against the complainant.
CBI laid a trap and caught the ASI red handed while accepting the bribe of Rs. 50,000/- from the complainant on behalf of the said SI (who was Investigating the case). She was arrested subsequently.
Searches were conducted at the official & residential premises of both the accused and cash of Rs. 10.85 lakh(approx) was recovered from the premises of one of the accused.
Both the arrested accused were produced before the Competent Court, Delhi and remanded to one day police custody.
