CBI Arrests 3 Accused Posing as MP’s staff, involved in a bribery case

The Central Bureau of Investigation on Thursday arrested three persons in Delhi allegedly working with Telangana Member of Parliament (MP) Kavitha Maloth in connection with the a Rs 1 Lakh bribery case representing Mahabuabad Parliamentary Constituency.
According to the reports the three accused have allegedly taken bribes from a Delhi-based builder to get him clearance from Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).The CBI officials said that the agency registered a case on a complaint against the two accused claiming to be the staff of Maloth, and other unknown public servant
A case was registered on a complaint against the two accused claiming to be staff of a Member of Parliament and other unknown public servants. It was alleged in the complaint that accused demanded undue advantage of Rs.1,00,000/- for allowing unhindered construction at the house of the complainant by managing MCD officials.
CBI laid a trap and the accused were caught while demanding & accepting the undue advantage of Rs.1,00,000/- from the Complainant. During investigation, one more accused was caught. Searches were conducted at the premises of accused in Delhi which led to recovery of certain documents.
The arrested accused are being produced today before the competent Court.
