Hyderabad, May 29, 2025: In a swift operation, the Balapur Police, Rachakonda Commissionerate, acting on credible intelligence, successfully apprehended four robbery offenders and recovered ₹28.20 lakh in stolen cash. The suspects, identified as Syed Abdul Khadar, Habeed Haroon, Vardhan, and Rasikanth Bardan, were caught while attempting to distribute the stolen money among themselves.

The Crime and Conspiracy

The case revolves around a premeditated robbery executed by the accused. The complainant, Ilyas, a resident of Santosh Nagar, was instructed by his father Mohd Zakeer to deliver ₹29 lakh in cash to his son-in-law Kabeer for a property transaction. Due to Kabeer’s unavailability, the money was entrusted to Khadar, a friend of Ilyas.

However, Khadar, along with his uncle Habeed Haroon, conspired to steal the money and roped in three accomplices—Vardhan, Rasheed Khan (absconding), and Rasikanth Bardan—to execute the robbery. The gang carefully tracked the complainant’s movements and sent him a Google location to a dark, isolated spot near Total Gas at Errakunta.

Upon arrival, the complainant and his friend Habibullah were waiting to hand over the money when two attackers—Rasheed Khan and Rasikanth Bardan—suddenly approached on a Pulsar motorcycle (TS-12EG-4565). They attacked the complainant with a stick, forcibly snatched the ₹29 lakh in cash, and fled from the scene, later handing the stolen money over to Khadar.

Police Investigation and Seizures

Following swift action by the Balapur Police and Special Operations Team (SOT) Maheshwaram, the culprits were identified and arrested, leading to the recovery of ₹28.20 lakh in stolen cash. Authorities also seized the following items:

  • ₹28,20,000 in cash
  • A Pulsar motorcycle (TS-12EG-4565)
  • Four mobile phones

Legal Proceedings and Ongoing Search

While four suspects have been apprehended, one accused, Rasheed Khan, remains absconding. Police continue efforts to trace and capture the fugitive, while the arrested individuals have been produced before the Hon’ble Court for judicial remand under Cr. No. 215/2025 U/s 309(4) r/w 3(5) BNS.

The successful operation was conducted under the supervision of Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, G. Sudheer Babu, IPS, with coordination from DCP Maheshwaram, D. Sunitha Reddy, Addl. DCP SOT, Md. Shakir Hussain, and dedicated teams from SOT & Balapur Police.

Authorities have assured that further investigations will uncover more details about the gang’s activities and other possible crimes.
