Ayodhya:Five-judge Constitution Bench will hear 18 review petitions In Chambers tomorrow

A five-judge Constitution Bench of Supreme Court will conduct in-chamber proceedings tomorrow at 1:40 pm for a total of 18 review petitions.
On Nov. 9 2019 The Apex Court had delivered a unanimous judgment awarding disputed land in Ayodhya to Hindu parties while directing Centre to allot 5 Acres of Land to Muslims as compensation.
The petitioners include the All India Muslims Personal Law Board and the Nirmohi Akhara; As many as 40 civil rights activists have also filed review petitions, even though they are not parties to the original case.
The petitioners have contended that their aim is not to disturb the peace but add that any peace must be conducive to justice.
The Bench will comprise of CJI SA Bobde, J DY Chandrachud, J Ashok Bhushan, and Justice Abdul Nazeer, along with J Sanjive Khana, who replaces former CJI Ranjan Gogoi.
All the proceedings of review petitions are usually conducted In Chamber to ascertain whether or not there is any material that has placed before the court, by the petitioners, to necessitate the bench to give them hearing in open court.
One of the petitioners says the top court’s verdict in the case: “Condones serious illegalities of destruction, criminal trespass, and violation of rule of law including damaging the Mosque and eventually destroying it.
The Nirmohi Akhara, one of the original petitioners, said it was looking for clarification over its role.
