[Breaking] Centre Appointments 14 New Judges to Telangana, Orissa and Kerala High Courts

The Central Government has notified the appointment of 14 new judges to Telangana, Orissa, and Kerala High Court.

Seven new judges have been appointed for Telangana High Court, six of them are judicial officers while one is a judicial member of Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT)

The Six judicial officers are:

1. P.Sree Sudha
   1. C. SUmalatha
   1. Dr.G.Radha Rani
   1. M.Laxman
   1. N.Tukaramji and
   1. A. Venkatesh Reddy
   1. The ITAT member appointed is:
2. P.Madhvi Devi

The sanctioned bench strength of the Telangana High Court was increased from 24 to 42 judges after the Central government gave nod to the High Court’s proposal for the same.

For Orissa High Court:

1. Mruganka Sekhar Sahoo, Advocate
2. Radha Krishna Patnaik, Judicial officer
3. Sashikanta Mishra, Judicial Officer

For Kerala High Courtr (Additional Judges)

1. Chandrasekharan Kartha Jayachandran, Judicial Officer
2. Smt. Sophy Thomas, Judicial Officer
3. Puthen Venu Goplala Pillai Ajithkumar,Judicial Officer and
4. Chandrasekharan Sudha,Judciial Officer

The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended their names on September 1,2021.
