CBI Arrests an Assistant Manager of National Institute for Smart Government and A Private Person in A Bribery Case

The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested an Assistant Manager, National Institute for Smart Government, Hyderabad (working as State Resource Person – SRP of UIDAI in Jaipur under an MoU of UIDAI with National Institute for Smart Government) and a private person in a bribery case.
A case was registered against Owner of a private firm based at Jaipur and unknown public servant of UIDAI posted in Delhi/Jaipur on a complaint alleging therein that the said Owner of private firm has demanded undue advantage of Rs.25,000/- from the complainant in the name of the unknown public servants of UIDAI of Jaipur/New Delhi for facilitating the complainant in restoring his Operator ID which was suspended in the month of March, 2021. A trap was laid and the said private person was caught while demanding & accepting bribe of Rs.20,000/- from the complainant. During investigation, role of said Assistant Manager was also found and he was arrested.
Searches were conducted at the premises of both the accused.
Both the arrested accused will be produced before the Competent Court.
