Legal Closure Achieved: NBW Team Arrests Accused in 30-Year-Old Case

Hyderabad, October 10, 2025 — In a significant breakthrough, the Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) Team of Jubilee Hills Police Station has successfully apprehended an accused who had been evading arrest for three decades. The operation was led by Head Constable Ch. Vijay Sudhakar (HC 9443) of Jubilee Hills PS and Police Constable L. Surender (PC 6570) of Film Nagar PS.

The accused had been absconding since the issuance of a Non-Bailable Warrant nearly 30 years ago, making this arrest a evidence to the persistence and diligence of law enforcement in upholding the rule of law. The execution of this long-pending warrant reinforces the commitment of the Hyderabad City Police to ensuring that justice is neither forgotten nor delayed.

In a remarkable display of perseverance and professional excellence, the Hyderabad Police have successfully apprehended a long-time fugitive, reaffirming that the “long arm of the law” may be delayed but never denied.

The accused, Pantangi Vishnu Charry, son of P. Charry, aged 50 years, a resident of Kattamisamma, Jillelguda, and native of Ghatkesar in Yadadri District, was wanted in Crime No. 226/1996 registered under Section 380 of the Indian Penal Code at Jubilee Hills Police Station. The case, which had been pending as LPC No. 11/2004, saw the issuance of a Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) by the Hon’ble Court nearly three decades ago.

Acting on credible and precise intelligence, the NBW team of Jubilee Hills Police Station launched a meticulous operation that culminated in the arrest of the accused, who had been skillfully evading the clutches of justice for almost thirty years. The accused was subsequently produced before the Hon’ble Court through the Station House Officer, Jubilee Hills Police Station, for further judicial proceedings in accordance with law.

The exemplary efforts of Head Constable Ch. Vijay Sudhakar and Police Constable L. Surender deserve high commendation. Their relentless pursuit, sharp vigilance, and unwavering dedication in tracing and apprehending a long-pending absconder have not only ensured the execution of the Hon’ble Court’s warrant but have also reaffirmed public faith in the justice delivery system.
