Cyberabad Honors Exceptional Police Personnel at Grand “Reward Mela” Ceremony

Hyderabad,14, February,2025. In a prestigious ceremony held today at Gachibowli, Cyberabad, police personnel were celebrated for their exceptional service and firm dedication to public safety at the Annual Reward Mela. This grand event, aimed at recognizing the outstanding contributions of law enforcement officers, saw Avinash Mohanty, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, personally presenting awards to honour those who have displayed remarkable skills and commitment in their roles.

The Commissioner, in his speech, emphasized the importance of acknowledging police officers who go above and beyond in their duties. He stated, “Recognizing the extraordinary efforts of our police personnel not only boosts their morale but also serves as an inspiration for others. It encourages a culture of excellence and fosters a spirit of dedication among our officers.”

Highlighting the significance of these awards, CP Avinash Mohanty pointed out that both the State and Central Governments annually award service medals to police officers, which are a proof to their hard work, perseverance, and dedication to public service. The Reward Mela event is an integral part of this recognition, which acknowledges the invaluable role the police play in maintaining law and order, ensuring public safety, and preventing crime.

For the year 2024, a total of 107 awards were distributed, celebrating officers from various ranks who have made significant contributions to the force and society. These included:

• 76 Bronze Medals for Seva Pathakams, which were received by officers on the occasion of Telangana Formation Day 2024.
• 4 Gold Medals in the Ati Utkrishta Seva Padak category (for the years 2020 and 2024), awarded to officers who demonstrated exceptional service.
• 27 Silver Medals under the Utkrishta Seva Padak category (for 2020 and 2024), acknowledging officers for their outstanding performance.

These medals were awarded to officers from various departments and ranks in recognition of their integrity, exceptional service, and dedication to upholding law and order in the region.

During the ceremony, CP Avinash Mohanty urged the police force to continue their commitment to public service, emphasizing that receiving such awards not only boosts morale but also motivates others to perform their duties with the same level of excellence. “Every recognition is a reminder of the values that we uphold in our department, and it is our collective dedication that strengthens our ability to serve and protect the people of Cyberabad,” he added.

He further reiterated that the Cyberabad Police Department remains committed to enhancing public safety, law enforcement, and service excellence. He called on officers to continue upholding the highest standards of professionalism, which will not only bring prestige and recognition to the department but also make a meaningful difference in the community.

The Reward Mela ceremony was attended by several senior police officials, including the Joint Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, EOW DCP Prasad, SB DCP Sai Sri, Cyber Crimes DCP Sree Bala, CAR HQtrs DCP Sanjay, as well as ADCsP, ACPs, Inspectors, and other esteemed police personnel. The event was a testament to the collective spirit of service, dedication, and excellence within the Cyberabad Police Department.
