Cyberabad Police Enhances Security Collaboration with Private Establishments for Safer Public Spaces

Hyderabad, February,06, 2025.In a concerted effort to bolster public safety, Cyberabad Police, under the leadership of Madhapur DCP Dr. Vineeth G, IPS, hosted a key coordination meeting on February 6, 2025 at the Cyberabad CP Office Main Conference Hall. The meeting brought together representatives from a wide range of private establishments including pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels, lodges, amusement centers, event managers, and private security agencies to discuss and improve security measures while ensuring compliance with legal regulations.

Strengthening Partnerships for Public Safety

During the meeting, Dr. Vineeth G, IPS, highlighted the vital role private security agencies and event managers play in supporting law enforcement to maintain a safe environment for the public. Emphasizing the importance of compliance with the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act (PSARA), 2005, he urged all parties to uphold high standards of professionalism and operate within the legal framework.

Key Security Measures Discussed:

  • PSARA Compliance: Private security agencies were reminded that a valid PSARA license issued by the Director General of Intelligence, Telangana, is essential for lawful operations. They were also instructed not to allow security personnel to wear uniforms resembling those of police, military, or paramilitary forces to avoid confusion.
  • Photo ID Requirement: All security personnel must carry official photo identity cards at all times, ensuring easy verification by law enforcement.
  • Regular Security Checks: Venues, including pubs, bars, and hotels, were instructed to conduct regular security checks with trained personnel, ensuring a vigilant approach to identify and prevent any potential threats.
  • Nightlife Safety: Strict adherence to operating hours was emphasized for pubs and nightlife establishments. Establishments must ensure trained security staff at entry and exit points to efficiently manage crowds and prevent incidents.
  • Reporting Criminal Activities: Establishments were advised to promptly report any criminal activity and share suspect information with law enforcement to facilitate swift responses and effective crime prevention.

Collaborative Approach to Prevent Antisocial Behavior

DCP Dr. Vineeth G also stressed the importance of maintaining vigilance against antisocial elements, urging private establishments to work closely with law enforcement to identify and prevent unlawful activities within their premises.

The Cyberabad Police urged all private security agencies, event managers, and establishment owners to strengthen cooperation with law enforcement to ensure a secure and well-monitored environment for both the public and business owners. The initiative aims to create a safer, more regulated space, enhancing security for everyone.

The meeting was attended by key officials including Madhapur ADCP Jayaram, Madhapur ACP Ch. Srikanth, and Madhapur Zone L&O Inspectors, along with representatives from various private establishments, event management companies, and security agencies.

This collaborative approach sets the stage for a unified effort in improving public safety and fostering a strong, secure relationship between the police and private sector entities.
