Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan Celebrates Constitution Day

Hyderabad, Nov 26: Every year the 26th of the November is celebrated as Constitution Day, to mark the adoption of the Indian Constitution by the constituent Assembly.
The Constituent Assembly of the country formally adopted the Constitution on this day in 1949, which came into force on the 26thof January, 1950.
The Governor of Telangana celebrated this in a grand manner at the Raj Bhavan, here, on Sunday.
Hon’ble Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, and other Raj Bhavan officials and staff members took part in the celebrations where the rich tributes were paid to the architects of the Indian Constitution.
She said that the constitution is not only complete- the procedure of our country, the law and order…. the rule to be followed- but also gives protection to each and every citizen. That is the beauty of it she said during the celebration of the constitution Day organized at Rajbhavan
The Governor and other officials also read out the Preamble of the Constitution as part of the celebrations. Earlier, offered floral tributes to the portraits of Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. BR Ambedkar, and the Constitution.
In 2015, the government of India decided to celebrate this day to promote constitutional values among citizens.
